Emmy M. Graber, MD

Dr. Emmy M. Graber Dr. Graber graduated from The Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine amongst the top of her medical school class, receiving the coveted Dr. Irwin L. Baird Memorial Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. During medical school she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Graber completed her internship in internal medicine at The Pennsylvania State University during which time she was chosen as Intern of the Year. Her residency training in Dermatology was also completed at The Pennsylvania State University. As a teacher and leader of medical students, the university medical student body selected her to receive the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award. Following residency, Dr. Graber completed a much sought after laser and cosmetic surgery fellowship at SkinCare Physicians in Boston.

Dr. Graber has written and lectured extensively on a variety of general and cosmetic dermatology topics. Amongst others, her work has been published in Dermatologic Surgery and The Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. She serves as an aesthetic dermatology consultant for WebMD and Medscape. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Acne and Rosacea Society, and the Women's Dermatologic Society.

Dr. Graber has a particular expertise in treating acne and acne scarring. She has authored several publications on acne and acne scarring, and has worked closely with some of the world's acne experts. Her acne publications include chapters in textbooks such as "Fitzpatrick's Dermatology in General Medicine" and "Cosmetic Formulation of Skin Care Products". She is also the guest editor of the "Acne Therapy" issue of Seminars in Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery.

Dr. Graber's interests span both general and cosmetic dermatology including liposuction, injections of Botox and fillers, and all aspects of laser surgery. She has been involved in numerous clinical trials investigating state-of-the-art cosmetic therapies. Dr. Graber also helps to train three fellow physicians each year at SkinCare Physicians.
