Jeffrey M. Sobell, MD

Dr. Jeffrey M. Sobell Dr. Sobell joined SkinCare Physicians in December 2002. In addition to his position at SkinCare Physicians, he is also an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Tufts University School of Medicine where he is involved in patient care and educates dermatology residents and medical students. Dr. Sobell conducts clinical studies to investigate the use of novel medications in patients while offering cutting-edge treatments for a variety of skin diseases including psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, acne and photodamage. He lectures to physicians locally and nationally on the nature and treatment of psoriasis.

Dr. Sobell is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is an active member in the American Academy of Dermatology, New England Dermatologic Society, and the National Psoriasis Foundation. Prior to joining Skin Care Physicians, Dr. Sobell was a full-time faculty member in dermatology at Tufts-New England Medical Center where he served as the Director of Phototherapy for five years. He graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1993, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in his junior year. He has received numerous other honors, including the C. Richard Bowman Memorial Scholarship, a prestigious award for superior clinical skills given to the top five medical students in the graduating class. After completing an Internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia, Dr. Sobell trained in Dermatology at the Boston University-Tufts University Combined Residency Program.

Dr. Sobell's clinical interests include psoriasis, general medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
