Skincare Aesthetics™ Program
Along with providing the world's finest cosmetic and laser surgery, dermatology, and dermatologic surgery services, the staff at SkinCare Physicians is pleased to offer a comprehensive aesthetic program. Under the guidance of our world-renowned physicians, SkinCare aestheticians will evaluate your skin and develop a customized program for treatment, enhancement, and maintenance of your skin.
A team of licensed aestheticians has been hand-picked and trained by our physicians, and possess special skills that will enable them to fully understand your skin and work with you to improve its look and feel. Our aestheticians perform skin care treatments that incorporate the most advanced techniques that are available in the aesthetic industry today. The goal of treatment is to improve the appearance of your skin by focusing on your concerns and analyzing any problems, along with utilizing the physician's expertise in skin disorders and general skin care.
Some of the skin conditions our aestheticians are trained to evaluate and manage are:
- Photoaging
The aging and sun-related processes that cause skin to lose elasticity, become wrinkled, and develop dryness, brown spots, a sallow complexion, as well as premalignant and malignant changes.
- Acne (teens and adults)
Skin problems may include comedones (whiteheads and blackheads), papules, pustules, and scars.
- Irritated skin
Red and inflamed skin that reacts to irritants and as well may involve allergic reactions.
- Sensitive skin
Skin that becomes easily inflamed, blotchy, and itchy
- Hormonal Syndromes
Skin reactions due to menopause, birth control pills, and endocrine disorders
Once your physician and aesthetician have evaluated your skin, a SkinCare Program will be custom developed for you that may include the following aesthetic techniques:
- Deep Cleansing

- Extractions
Gentle pressure applied manually to remove whiteheads and blackheads on the nose, forehead, cheeks, and chin.
- Hydration
Cosmetic preparations applied to the skin to replenish moisture to the skin and reduce the appearance and signs of aging.
- Application of Active Ingredients
For instance, in acne-like conditions, products containing active ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid are applied to the skin to alleviate further breakouts.
- Superficial Chemical Peels
This involves the application of alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxy acids which cause exfoliation and accelerate the removal of dead skin cells, smooth skin and decrease irregular pigmentation.
- Exfoliation
The removal of dead skin cells from the skin's surface using preparations that contain granules or advanced mechanical technologies.

The regimen for each skin care treatment is designed to focus on an individual's specific skin care needs. Our aestheticians, in consultation with your physician, will thoroughly evaluate you during your visit and develop a treatment plan. The aesthetician will also review your current product routine and develop a home SkinCare Program that works in conjunction with our professional office-based services. Treatments range from one half hour to one hour, and are recommended at two-four week intervals to achieve the best results for specific skin problems and maintain a healthy lifelong complexion.
