Dr. Molly Stout, a board-certified dermatologist provides comprehensive dermatologic care for the entire family, addressing conditions from scalp to feet. Her clinical expertise includes hair disorders, acne, medical dermatology for both adults and children, and cosmetic dermatology.
Originally from Sherborn, Massachusetts, Dr. Stout earned her undergraduate degree from Occidental College in Los Angeles, and a Master’s of Science from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her medical degree at the University of Massachusetts, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, and spent a dedicated research year in Dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Following her internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, she did her dermatology residency at Northwestern, where she served as Chief Resident. During residency, Dr. Stout worked in ABC News’ Medical Unit, contributing articles for ABCNews.com and stories for Good Morning America and World News Tonight. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
Dr. Stout has published and presented over a wide range of topics in dermatology, including hidradenitis suppurativa, contact dermatitis, multiethnic skin, and social media. She has written textbook chapters on clinical research and hair disorders. Dr. Stout is passionate about patient advocacy and meets with members of Congress to support legislation to improve patient access to care and affordable medications. She was chosen for the American Medical Association’s Campaign School which prepares physicians to effectively advocate for improved health policy on state and national levels.
In her free time, Dr. Stout enjoys traveling, staying active, cheering for Boston sports, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
