Dr. Dover gave presentations on "Lasers and Lights in the Treatment of Acne" and "Ablative Fractional Laser Resurfacing" and he moderated the session "Creating the Perfect Lip" along with Dr. Rohrer at the American Academy of Dermatology meeting in San Francisco in March 2009. Dr. Dover also chaired the course "Practical Issues for Clinicians, Basic Scientists, and Industry", he moderated a laser resurfacing symposium and he spoke on "Laser Complications" at the recent meeting of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery in April 2009 in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Robin Travers was honored by the Kenneth B. Schwartz Center as a compassionate caregiver. The Schwartz Center’s mission is to support and advance compassionate health care in which caregivers, patients and their families relate to one another in a way that provides hope to the patient, support to caregivers, and sustenance to the healing process. Their programs are designed to encourage communication, empathy and spiritual awareness in the clinical setting; aid the dissemination of exemplary practices and programs; recognize extraordinary caregivers as models for others; and involve patients and families in the enhancement of compassion in health care.

Dr. Arndt gave a presentation on "The Future of Vascular Lasers" during the course "Advanced Lasers" at the American Academy of Dermatology meeting in San Francisco on March 6, 2009. He also spoke on "Top Lasers and Light Treatments for Red Faces" at the recent meeting of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery in Washington, D.C. on April 2, 2009. He and Dr. Rohrer co-directed the course "Laser Treatment of Vascular Lesions".

Dr. Emmy Graber, who directs the SkinCare Physicians Acne Research and Therapeutics Program, has been honored by being named one of the only two physicians chosen nationally by the American Acne and Rosacea Society to mentor a resident physician. The resident physician will spend one week at SkinCare Physicians under Dr. Graber’s direction.
