Are you looking to improve sun damage, fine lines, acne scars or hyperpigmentation? The Fraxel FTX may be the treatment for you. At SkinCare Physicians we believe that the best results come from a combination of both experienced providers and trusted technology. That is why we are happy to offer Fraxel FTX to our patients.
Fraxel is one of our most trusted and tried-and-true devices for laser resurfacing. Fraxel FTX is the latest evolution of this gold-standard technology, with its thoughtful upgrades providing increased ease of use for the provider, while improving patient comfort. The core technology remains the same, but the subtle yet meaningful changes have made a big impact. The device now includes a smaller, more ergonomic handpiece which allows the provider to treat delicate areas with greater precision and control. This upgraded handpiece also offers more centralized air delivery to cool the treated skin, contributing to greater patient comfort. Together, these advancements create a more seamless and efficient treatment experience while maintaining the proven results Fraxel technology is known for.
Fraxel FTX is a dual fraxel laser device with two wavelengths, 1550 and 1927 nanometers, which can be used to address age-related collagen loss and both superficial and deeper skin concerns including, but not limited to:
The laser works by creating microscopic, fractionated columns within the skin. This process stimulates the body’s own collagen production to promote rapid healing and skin renewal, resulting in softer, smoother and brighter skin.
While Fraxel FTX is new at SkinCare Physicians, Fraxel laser resurfacing is not. Our nurses who perform Fraxel FTX have years of Fraxel laser experience and have had extensive hands-on training with our board-certified physicians. When performing laser procedures, proper training and expertise are essential, and our practice prioritizes both. As a nurse of almost 20 years, with the last 11 years at SkinCare Physicians, I have completed dedicated training with the Fraxel FTX, including hands on instruction with the manufacturer’s nurse and participated in the formal onboarding process. In preparation for the device’s launch, I worked alongside Drs. Dover and Kaminer to provide feedback and insight to the device manufacturer. This level of commitment to preparation now allows us to deliver safe, effective, and consistent Fraxel FTX treatments to our patients.
While Fraxel FTX offers many benefits for people of all ages and skin colors, it is important to ensure the treatment is right for you. Prior to scheduling a Fraxel FTX treatment, all patients must meet with one of our cosmetic dermatologists. During your consultation, your physician will evaluate your skin concerns and tailor a treatment plan that is both effective and safe for your skin. Then, your Fraxel FTX treatment will be performed by our nursing team under the guidance of your provider.
