Dysport and Xeomin Are Not Your Grandmother’s Botox!

Published on Mar 7th, 2013 by Michael Kaminer

By now if you have not heard the term Botox, you have probably been living under a rock!

Which filler treatment is right for you: Botox, Dysport or Xeomin? But did you know that there are two other products that work virtually the same as Botox, and in some cases may even be superior? Dysport and Xeomin are the new kids on the block, and are giving Botox quite a run for its money. All three of these products can be used to create beautiful, natural, and near wrinkle free smoothness of the upper face, around the eyes and mouth, and even on the neck. The trick to achieving these eye-catching results is both in the technique used by your physician, as well as the product that he or she chooses.

At SkinCare Physicians, we have found that carefully matching the product to the patient’s expectations can produce results that are superior to what one might usually experience. We have all three products, Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin at our disposal. For some patients Botox may be optimal, while for others Dysport or Xeomin may be superior. Understanding the subtle differences between these three products, and having the ability to match the right one to each patient, is what makes SkinCare Physicians special.  When deciding between Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin for a given patient, our physicians carefully take into consideration the duration of action, smoothness of the expected final result, time it takes for the treatment to take effect, area that is treated (eyes, forehead, neck, etc.), and the overall desired final look. SkinCare Physicians was one of the first medical practices in the country to understand the differences between these three products, and successfully match them to individual patients.

Our doctors have been asked to lecture on this topic at international meetings such as the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the annual summer Controversies course.  Now you can take advantage of their expert knowledge right here at SkinCare Physicians in Boston!
